Simplification has been the motto behind any scripture written in India!
Veda Vyasa Maharshi classified Vedas and said these are complex so I have to simplify
Veda -- Vedanga -- Sootras -- Upanishad -- Purana -- > This is where he left simplification probably he would have covered last mile human of population then available and would have felt his simplification succeeded.
But then the more days passed people might not have gone to the top most knowledge and simplified what is in hand as a result we have concept of Eka-Shloki
The Eka Sholki for Ramayana starts as
aadau Rama tapovanadi gamanam drushtwa mrigam kaanchanam
This is my attempt to apply a learning from this shloka to day-to-day life so I felt like not writing full Shloka initially but its a job of merit to think of Ramayana so let me copy-paste full shloka so that you -- my reader also get the benefit
When we don't know how to use a thing, we end up misusing it.
It used to take days to deliver a handwritten letter, but if we open some boxes on the attic having letters may they be 10 years old or 100 years old when we read them we feel good.
But now it doesn't even take any time to send a message, while we see other person is typing we prepare to answer.
I always liked the way R K Murthy sir started his day, he used to bow in front of his desktop at office with folded hands and start the CPU, I know people who don't shut down the GenX laptops for months or sometimes unless an upgraded forces them with a timer starting 8 hours before it can say "I will reboot now"
2 examples are enough now imagine your own story about

2. walkman, disk man, mp3payer
3. dvd player VCP, VCR
4. TV
All being mercilessly murdered by your favorite object in life "mobile phone"
Heights of misuse is with internet and when it gets along with laptop you are done.
while some people are now talking about ChatGPT which would take over lives of humans by taking over jobs.
are we really living now I think we are just feeling we are better with these but someone else is making use of these for their best interest and we really don't know who it is.
I pray that everyone including me one day get out of this misuse.!
Try to google engineering and probably 1st result you would see is something like
Engineering is the designing, testing and building of machines, structures and processes using maths and science. Studying it can lead to a rewarding career.
Is this rewarding career able to build a rewarding life ? sometimes yes sometimes no manyatimes not known.
From past 17 years I have been an engineer and have been living among great group of engineers.
Like everyone breath they have issues too.
I wonder how come Engineers have issues by definition they have to design, test, build using math science.
By definition their job is to create solutions to issues using all knowledge acquired, not just in matter of months or years but it is more than a decade of learning that goes into getting an engineer out.
How come still they are frustrated?
How come they are still miserable?
Ask me why I feel they are frustrated and miserable, just look at amount of memes that come of office, work-life-balance and look at the kind of sad managers who spent years rotting in same place to get to top and got to top only to understand they problems have tripled.
Now if I ask people to think about their life and use logic they might get into loop of overthinking, because they don't know what to think about.
So to conclude my expectation is....
Apply your education in your own life first
Build tools and process that keep you happy, it is never too late to apply what you have studied.
your engineering skill is not finite and the employer who has enslaved you will not fire you just if you attempt to apply any skill to your own life to make it better
if you are engineer it is not that you only need to use that knowledge at a job, your life is more important than just a job
Please be a happy human by being Engineer of your own life.
