Habit of listening to NO

 
We have many books that talk about how to say No. 
Shouldn't we also write few on how to listen to a No ? 

My daughter [4] has an issue with word "No", yes you read it correctly she cannot listen to someone saying "No" to her, the reaction and the sound associated with the reaction varies from person to person and I get the highest and best volume somehow she knows I like good music in high volumes, and its even bigger Yes to say that our own kids crying is also music, and what coming from window of next house is [You are good reader and I know you already filled blank so I will not add]


If you want to ask
"Why do you want to write a blog to tell that your girl cries each time you say "No"", my focus is on grownups who cannot take No. We find them all around, but let's talk about those in office. 

Again why about only people in office, as of today they are the ones who are eating biggest chunk of my time's pizza, I will write about other walks when they start to bite my time pizze more. 

After a point of time in career when one goes into position of taking decisions people don't like to listen to No, this is true, people want to get things done one or other way. 

If things keep rolling in this model the person who is getting them done will have stronger conviction on his style. 

Again I am talking with experience in India and about Indian IT environment, I am sure others would also have mapping of this traits here and there. 

What is wrong in getting things done. 
How are you getting them done is more important. Like I mentioned above if a person is getting things done by always pushing it, on long run the quality of product is going to be not so good. This is known even to a kid I need not write a blog for this. But I am here to write about some trends that happen due to such style of working. 

1. Those with less experience 
These are people on whom we put more load thinking they will learn and we get to push a major chunk to deliver, but in background these people are only learning to find better places outside and market always has people who hire this single digit experienced people. [1st Frustrated class] 

2. Those in middle of the ladder 
These are in the middle path only to get stamped on their face by everyone trying to go up or those who think they need to go up, these are bigger frustrated Chunk. 

So to have a pit stop and see what is being written again quickly 
1. Too much push always becoming way to work 
2. Frustrated Chunk is raising in the really working class. 

There are people who make noise as 1st circle around this frustrated chunk and say we are guiding these folks to goal, but since those shouting folks circle the frustrated folks, the English goal becomes Hindi gole [round], you know these people and probably you are scolding them every now and then in mind, so I acknowledge them and don't write more about them and waste your time here too. 

Our goal is to see how the frustrated folks who are surrounded by circles and circles of shouters be saved. 
HaHa saved its very big word, maybe we can give them some hint on what is being lost in that circle and if they understand and fix it, those circling around them might back off a feet distance giving them time to breath, let this be critical point of this post and then let's conclude post that. 

Time is being wasted 
You have all the rights to say "Yes we already know if what you are doing here nothing less." 
since you read till here I just wanted to share a new perspective on how it is getting wasted. 

1. people don't share correct procedure / content of certain work to be done and create first string on our path strucking to which we fall on our face and break our nose. 
2. While are sneezing due to step 1 we have a deadline imposed by many people we spoke about because they are bent on deciding to deliver on any cost 
3. We thus end up sitting on same topic for longer than needed 

In rush of delivering not just what is in hand but all that we promised without creating a strong base 1-2-3 keeps going in loop. 

This is last point I don't want to waste more time..............

Hence 1st and foremost things a good leader has to do is to find and stop the time waste and to do this he/she needs to develop habit of listening to No, then they will know.

 want to add one more point 

I want MSteams to charge call feature and group call feature separately on hourly and minutes basis imagine what Microsoft can earn 

At least someone should benefit from the use of resources
